Extra-early Charentais.
Escorial matures nearly a week before Savor to serve the early Charentais market. Fruits avg. 2 lb. and are round to round-oval with pronounced sutures and moderate netting. Flesh is dark orange, very sweet, and aromatic. When ripe, outer skin is green with a yellowish tinge.
